A BED THAT WAS DESIGNATED TO HOLD MONEY- PART TWO
The Rif, when bringing down these Halachos, doesn't differentiate between whether the bed is designated for holding money. He only differentiates between having money on it, which prohibits one to move it, and whether there is no money on it, that permits one to move it. The question is: Why doesn't he Paskin

like Rav that prohibits moving the designated bed even if there is no money…

A BED THAT WAS DESIGNATED TO HOLD MONEY

Rav says that if you designate a bed for holding money, it's not Muktza until you started putting money on it. The designation alone doesn't make it Muktza, since we Paskin that designation without action doesn't affect the status of the object. But after it was already used for money, even if it doesn't have any money on it on Shabbos, it's Muktza. It's no longer has the…

COVERING MUKTZA WITH A UTENSIL

One is allowed to cover an egg that was laid on Shabbos (and hence Muktza) with a utensil. We don't Paskin like R' Yosef (in the Gemara) that holds a utensil can't be moved to facilitate Muktza items. The Tosfos Shabbos quotes the Rambam that it's not comparable to having the egg fall into the utensil, though you also plan to leave the utensil covering the egg the whole Shabbos and not to move it. Since you have the ability to… Continue

MAKING A UTENSIL MUKTZA ON SHABBOS
Anything that is Muktza, you cannot put a utensil underneath it so that the Muktza may fall into it. By doing so, it would render the utensil also Muktza and annul it's Heter status. Rashi, Rambam and Tur say that

the reason that this is forbidden since you began Shabbos by being able

to move the utensil, and now you're doing something that makes you unable

to move it,…

AN UNREADY FOOD THAT COULD BE FINISHED BY MAN

There is no Muktza on unready foods that man can finish it's preparation on Shabbos. The Kol Bo says, therefor you're allowed to drink on Shabbos a drink made by soaking dates on Friday, though it wasn't drinkable Bein Hashmashes Friday night, since it's able to be finished by man. The Bais Yosef asks: How can you consider this finished it's preparation through man? Man…

RAISINS THAT WERE PARTIALLY READY BEIN HASHAMASHES

Raisins that are partially ready Bein Hashmashes (they're edible but not really at their best) it's not Muktza if you designate it to eat on Shabbos. The Orchos Chaim points out, that if it's truly unusable, even designating it doesn't help to make it not Muktza.

The Tosfos Shabbos in the name of the Magen Avraham (in Simon 495) says that you need to mark off the raisins you plan on eating. It is not good… Continue

RAISINS THAT WERE DRY BEIN HASHMASHES

Raisins and dried figs that were dried by Bein Hashmashes Friday night are permitted to be eaten on Shabbos, even though it was not known by the owner that it was ready. (The Ran says that it's a Machlokes between the Bavli and the Yerushalmi, and we Paskin like the Bavli that permits it.) Even though the owner thought that it wasn't ready yet and he set it aside from use and technically be Muktza, still, that setting aside was done… Continue
