Constant War - Parshas Ki Tetza

The greatest enemy to man is his evil inclination and we are required to fight him constantly. It states in Gemara Brochos 5a that we must always use our good inclination to attack our bad inclination. The Chafetz Chaim explains that this means even when things appear to be going great. Elul's Nervous Break Through

Rav Yechezkel Levinstein the famous Mashigach explains that in our generation the public excitement during Elul or the blowing of the shofer is not enough to motivate us to repent.
