FAITH TO FIX LOGIC ERRORS

The daughters of Zelophchad asked Moshe and the Elders “ Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no sons? Give to us therefore a possession among the brothers of our father.” Zelophchad’s daughters approached Moshe and the Elders in the aftermath of the national census taken as preparation for settling the Land of Israel (see generally BaMidbar 26 and 26:53).

TAKING A CHANCE ON FAITH

The allocation of territory among the Tribes of Israel consisted of two elements. The apportionment was proportional to a particular tribe’s population (BaMidbar 26:54) Simultaneously the tribes’ borders were to be set by lottery (26:55) 26:56 repeats the requirement that the assignment of tribal lands in the Land of Israel be by lottery.…

First Rashi points out that despite wandering in the desert was G-D’s punishment there were 14 pre-sin of the spies journeys leavening. just 28 stations which averages only 0.737 trips per year. So that even though the Bene Yisrael were serving out a sentence Given by G-D Himself out in response to the people initially accepting the spies’ report regarding the land of Israel and the years of wandering were not too taxing. DOWN AND GETING UP

The last season wholly belonging to the present year is the Three Weeks between the Fasts of 17 Tamuz and 9 Av, period between the breech of Jerusalem’s city walls and the destruction of the Temple.
