Habit Produces True Change
In the Path of the Just are some inspiring words to help one before Rosh Hashanah. In the first chapter on cleanliness the Ramchal explains that through the sheer force of habit one can uplift himself to a very high spiritual state.
Quote: "You will now note the distinction between the Watchful and the Clean man (although they are closely related). The first is Watchful of his deeds and sees to it that he does not sin in relation to…

The talk of surrendering Har Habayit or abandoning other lands in Eretz Yisrael is a wake up call from Hashem, for Jewry to strengthen their desire to build up Eretz Yisrael. Specifically, during the month of Elul there is message to focus our spiritual growth in preparation for the days of Judgment on building. Devarim 22:8 teaches that when building a new house one place a parapet around the roof.…

A person, who is embarrassed to ask for clarification, will not learn.
[Avos 4:3]
The attribute of modesty is appropriate in every situation, except for learning. The nature of learning requires a give and take between teacher and student. We find a curious pattern in the Torah: Hashem first promises victory to Klal Yisrael and then cautions them not to panic. For instance He assures us (Devarim 20:2): ““When you go out to war against your enemy and you see horse and chariot, a great multitude of people who outnumber you, do not fear them because Hashem, your G-d, is with you -- Who brought you up from the land of Egypt.”
After this assurance Hashem warns them (Devarim 20:3): “….Listen O Israel, today you are close to…

PARSHA INSIGHTS\THE SAGES OF MUSSAR
The Torah (Devarim 30:16) states: “See – I have given to you today life and good…” The phraseology of this verse seems unsymmetrical because we usually contrast opposites. Accordingly, the verse should have said, “life and death;” or “good and bad.” If so, what message do we derive from this uncommon usage of language?
HaShem created the human being from a compound of spiritual and material components. The holy soul has countless worthy…

Nowadays, a person can see through the universe various stages of matter formation. The wonderful way particles are put together to form one entity. Resemblance, that knowledge must be a process of connection between wisdom and understanding. When knowledge is taken as part of one self it becomes reality in conciousness that all must has been initiated by a divine breathe that blows a spark of will to even the smallest particle of matter such as a proton. A need to ascend…
